Sengokuhara Area

It is the only place in mountainous Hakone to see vast distance of highland.
The special feature of Onsen in that area is white turbid water, and a number of luxurious ryokan is located there. Also, there is a various kind of museums, such as "Pola Museum of Art" and "Hakone Lalique Museum, Hakone".

Sightseeing spots

Sengokuhara Marshland

It is a marshland that was created with soil flowed into the lake by the eruption of Mount Kamiyama 3000 years ago. The area is preserved as the National Monument, which rare spices of plants are inhabited.

Access : From Hakone-Yumoto Station, take Hakone Tozan Bus bound for Kojiri / Togendai.
Get off at Sengoku Annaijo-mae. It is 8 minute walk from Sengoku Annaijo-mae bus stop.

Venetian Glass Museum

Hakone Bushi no Sato Museum

It is the only museum in Hakone that exhibits a collection of arts and crafts of warrior families, such as armors, sword, gold or silver lacquers, and tea utensils. You can pay to try on armor and Japanese traditional war helmet, and also available to dress up in a costume of Shinsengumi, the special military police force in Edo Period.
